Home of the Hottest karaoke On Long Island, Serving nassau and Suffolk Counties
What was the entertainment was at the last social event you attended?
Would your answer be? "I Don't Remember." or "Some D.J."
Obviously that wasn't a very memorable event for you, and for that I am sorry.
What would have made it more memorable?.
Lets Imagine a few scenarios:
#1. You are at a Memorial Day B.B.Q. , standing poolside, sipping that Cosmo, and In the background you hear a familiar song, but something is different. You think to yourself , that doesn't sound like Jimmy Buffet . You turn to look and you were right...... it's crazy Cousin Larry, wearing a floppy brimmed hat, and sunglasses, doing his rendition of Margaritaville. You look around and half the party is singing along and the other half is laughing...
#2. It's Uncle Joe and Aunt Mary's Anniversary. The whole family is there. Uncle Joe stands up & everyone assumes he is going to say something nice to his bride of 40 years. Instead everyone finds out what a true romantic he really is He picks up a microphone and starts to sing his and Aunt Mary's wedding song. You look around & there isn't a dry eye in the place...
Those are just two examples of the kind of things people remember for years. Whether its because of the laughter or the heart felt moments, the memories are there, imprinted in your mind. When someone who wasn't at the party asks one of your guests " how was the party?".... Do you want the answer to be , "Typical Party"?. Or do you want them to tell a story like the ones above?
Why Karaoke?
Lets face it. We have all been to parties where the music played didn't quite meet your expectations. With the conventional D.J. you get a conventional party. The standard "Playlist". A party where the D.J. picks the music he or she thinks suits the party, There could be an M.C. who is paid to be the center of attention. There nothing wrong with that if you want to have "Just Another Party". My question is "Why are we just being entertained instead of BEING PART OF THE ENTERTAINMENT?"
The fact is that everyone listens to music & most people like to sing. Some do it in the shower, others sing in the car with the windows rolled up, and some step up to the microphone and do it to be entertaining. In every group of people there are a few who openly want to be the center of attention and we all know who they are. In years of experience with karaoke we have learned that there is a larger amount of people who secretly want the spotlight.
So when deciding on what to do for entertainment at your next event ask yourself...
Why NOT Karaoke?
